Spring is definately with us, dawn picking, frequently watched by deer, is a joy and there is sunshine and banter at the flower market with the most sensational colours and scents. Blossom in the city and the English countryside unfurling at its freshest with the lime greens and bronzes of the young beech which ( hurrah) is holding when cut !
Despite a tricky start with the weather we have had a wonderful selection of tulips from our fantastic flower farmers, Cairo, Belle Epoque, apricot and Pink Sensation among my favourites with some heads as large as your hand and a fabulous vase life as they bend and open.
Recent events have seen tablescapes of spring flowers, tulips, ranuncula, hellebores, narcissi, mint and rosemary with mossed twigs, seed heads, buds and magnolia branches for texture all interspersed with candles but watch this space as we are about to be mad about the peony in all its glory.
We love to bring the outside in with plants in an array of stunning containers , aricula, jasmine, orchids and lavender are just some curent favourites. We unravelled and retrained some pretty and delicate clematis over beech branch domes in outside planters as an interim in before their summer planting - do contact us if we can deliver to you or plant into your containers.
We are delighted to be working on many spring and early summer projects but do please call if you would like to discuss designs and dates for any celebrations, weddings, parties, dinners or funerals 07770875353 or email with the form on the contact page. Dont worry if you think that you are planning ahead, a save the date is a very good plan with a florist as the diary fills up !
